Our middle child turned 18 a bit ago and it got me wondering - what new things can you do when you're 18?
So I looked it up - some of it we won't talk about (ha) but here are some of the new and exciting things you can do as a baby-adult.
1. Vote: When you turn 18, you become eligible to vote. Being that this is an election year - get out there and do it!
2. Buy lottery tickets: Good luck here - you're chances are low of getting anything, but it's still a fun right of passage.
3. Apply for credit: Once you turn 18, you can apply for credit cards, loans, and other financial products. Don't go nuts, but start building your credit up.
4. Skydive: Who knew? But if you're jumping out of the sky, it's probably a good idea to be an adult.
5. Travel without parental consent: You are legally considered an adult and can travel all on your own. Just call home and check in once and a while.
6. Register for the military: If you're interested in serving your country, you can register for the forces. This is an honorable decision designed for the brave, for sure.
Eighteen is an exciting time filled with new opportunities and responsibilities. Be wise about adulthood but enjoy it!
Here are some of my favorite 18 year olds and our beautiful Colorado - happy weekend y'all.
