Thank you for taking some time to visit my site!
My journey as a photographer began over 13 years ago. We lived in the Colorado mountains and had a "ramen noodle" budget when it came to extra, luxury items. I desperately wanted to catch our newborn and second child, Zach's fleeting baby days (when he looked slightly like Pope John Paul II.) So what is one to do? We pulled enough together to get me a nice camera! That is where it all began...
So now having added another child to the mix, 2 dogs, more fish than I can count (may they all rest in peace) and four moves later, my photography career has led me to amazing adventures!
I've had highs and lows along the way - stubbed my toe once or twice (let's be honest!) But I wouldn't change it for the world. I have so many clients I'd call dear friends. I've documented growth, love, moves and accomplishments. What a blessing it has been!
Since the beginning I've always believed in keeping my business personable, professional and simple. I have a very relaxed style - I love catching kids, families and seniors in fun and playful settings. Focusing on your natural grace. I think pictures should be celebrated - not dreaded!
I look forward to designing a shoot that matches what your ideal pictures will be. I can't wait to meet you!
And...ok, some interesting facts about me... I am married to a funny, wonderful husband! ~ God has gifted me with oodles of patience for spunky children ~ I love all things vintage (which is sometimes reflected in my shooting style) ~ Chocolate truffles can get me through the most difficult of times ~ I have three wild and beautiful children ~ Being creative is what MAKES me ~ My best inspirations surround me everyday ~ I'm addicted to history podcasts ~ I love to sleep, a lot!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- What locations can we use?
-
Anywhere! I know of great outside locations around northern Colorado. Urban, open space, mountain views, farms, barns, etc. We are blessed to have a never ending supply of choices. Let em know what you are looking for and we can collaborate together to find the perfect spot. I will travel within the Windsor / Loveland / Greeley / Fort Collins area is at no additional charge. Costs for travel outside of these areas will be calculated on a case by case basis.
- How long do sessions take?
-
Family sessions are typically 50 - 60 minutes. It may vary if we pick two locations and add travel time or if there is a little hike involved. Senior sessions are 75 - 90 minutes. Usually there are multiple locations involved and outfit changing times built in. Please do your best to be on time. Sessions are carefully timed to maximize beautiful lighting and we don't want to miss any of it!
- What about the weather or sickness?
-
If weather is a factor the day of our shoot, I will be in contact with you early enough to either keep or postpone the appointment. We can decide together based on the forecast to decide what is best for the situation. If a surprise sickness comes up, I will reschedule with you. In these scenarios, there is no charge or loss of payment should we reschedule.
- Digital files, payment and pricing?
-
All sessions are delivered a minimum of 40 high quality, print worthy digital images to keep and print as desired. I am happy to suggest printers for anything from portraits prints to specialty products. I would also suggest storing your files on a USB drive or burn to disk to archive. Total cost for time, talent and files is $600. This is due at time of booking the appointment (in order to hold your date) and can be paid by check, PayPal, Zelle or Venmo.
- When do the files get delivered?
-
Within three business days all files will be delivered via email and download site. They will remain online for two weeks to download and share.
- Most importantly, what do I wear?
-
I am more then happy to help! I have lots of visual aids that I can email to you prior to meeting. But keep this in mind - Be comfortable - don't wear something so new or different you feel awkward. I will probably have you sitting in some of the pictures so be able to move around. Pick colors that compliment you. Wear colors! Browns, tans, peaches, etc. will wash you out and be boring. Consider layering, wear jewelry, add a hat. Don't forget great shoes - they will show up in pictures! For the ladies - extra mascara and lipstick are recommended.
Send me picture choices prior to our session and I'll gladly offer suggestions!
