“THE BEST THING ABOUT A PICTURE IS THAT IT NEVER CHANGES, EVEN WHEN THE PEOPLE IN IT DO.” — Andy Warhol
Have you ever gone into someone's home and been face to face with a great photo? Maybe the kids in it were really laughing. Maybe Grandma and Grandpa were looking at each other just so. Maybe their furry friend had the best puppy dog eyes or maybe the 2 year old had that sassy face you know will go away someday.
The beauty of pictures is it stops time, for just a little while. Kids grow up and many things in life change. But that's the best part - we get to celebrate the here and now!
I've heard all kinds of reasons why pictures aren't a good idea right now - I don't know what we would wear, I want to loose those 10 pounds first, my braces will be off soon, we are so busy. I know ALL of these (I've said them myself!) Pictures don't need to be stressful or only for big occasions. Some of my favorite pictures, both professionally and personally are sweet moments that have nothing to do with clothing choices or detailed planning.
So don't over-think it! My approach is to ACTUALLY have fun, enjoy the process AND get great photos. I want you to look at your walls and see great pictures!
